Hugo was previously the project manager for major floating project Malikai TLP in Malaysia for Shell, and a senior technical advisor for offshore wind, with 25 years of international experience. As a technical leader, he is highly skilled in the areas of floating systems, naval architecture, riser systems and structural engineering, with multi-disciplinary knowledge of economic analysis, subsea systems and sustainable development.

Hugo is a co-founder of SC Power, set up in 2021 to promote development of a Chilean offshore wind sector.

As Technical Manager and board member of Viento Azul Biobio, Hugo leads on engineering, logistics, supply chain engagement and technical risk topics.
